Senior Business Development Manager – NHS, Health and Social Care

Based London and the Home Counties

£90,000 Basic, £170,000 OTE + extensive benefits

Our client is a leading telecommunications provider of corporate and government solutions with an impressive and expanding customer base across the UK. A household name, their clients range from the FTSE 100 to start-ups. Focussed on full range of Telco/Cloud/Managed services & Networked IT, they are currently seeking to strengthen their position by recruiting a Senior Business Development Manager selling large, complex IT/technology contracts into the NHS.

The successful applicant will help drive the growth required through sales of large transformational deals within the Health and Social Care vertical. You will develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on securing large transformational deals at complex acute Trusts and ICB/system level. You will leverage your understanding of the market to inform the business development strategy and maximise our client’s competitive advantage, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders within the health and social care sector at a C-suite level. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, product specialists, and technical experts, to create innovative and tailored solutions that address the unique challenges of the sector as well as leading complex contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with our client’s business objectives and risk management guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience of selling into the NHS at the highest levels. You will be able to demonstrate over-achievement against targets and a proven track record successfully selling large, complex IT/technology contracts within the health and social care sector along with an in-depth knowledge of the health and social care sector landscape, including trends, challenges, government initiatives, funding programmes and innovation pilots. Existing relationships and senior contacts within the health and social care sector will be essential.
