This role is primarily to build out Dell’s Policing strategy and ensure we bring expertise and knowledge to our technology offerings into our Police customers.
This is a senior role and is ideal for someone leaving the Police service and is looking to move into industry within a technology sales role.
The role will also include a portfolio of customers within the Policing Sector as well as to build key relationships with the wider Eco System that supports technology outcomes into UK Policing.
This will include building partnerships within appropriate Blue Light forums and industry experts to ensure we have a voice at the table with organisations such as Police Digital Service, National Police Chiefs council, Blue Light Services Procurement as well as other appropriate organisations.
The role will also include attending Industry events to network and build senior relationships within the Policing Sector.
What you’ll achieve
As an Account & Industry Specialist, you will develop new accounts or expand existing accounts within an established geographic territory or product line, building strong customer relationships in the field while ensuring a great customer experience for all.
In addition to this, the role is a senior specialist role that will help to build the Policing strategy within Dell in order to grow the sector and deliver value and outcomes to our Police customers.
The expectation is that the role would be suitable for someone currently working in the Police Sector or has previous experience within Policing.
You will:
• Help to build out a Police Industry Strategy in order for Dell to have the most appropriate technology offerings to our Police customers
•Manage and support territory and accounts, including account planning, sales forecasting and facilitating organizational alignment in cross-functional virtual teams
•Understand customers’ business and solution requirements to ensure satisfaction with our solutions
•Identify business trends and leverage strengths of the sales team to create a differentiated offering while positioning ourselves to capture business
•Provide direction, support and coaching to internal teams
•Grow the territory or account base to attain financial objectives

Essential Requirements
•Previous experience within the Policing Sector to ensure that we can harness that unique knowledge and relationships in order to shape our technology offerings accordingly.
•Ability to leverage other teams, such as the internal sales force, pre-sales, services consultants, product managers and finance
•Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems
•Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation and executive presentation skills and ability to provide insight and thought leadership to senior level executives
