Position Overview:

We seek an organized Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. This role position involves managing our volunteer programs and ensuring effective matching of volunteers with young people in need of support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruit, train, and support volunteers for various roles, including tutoring, befriending, and mentoring.
Run online volunteer training programmes to ensure volunteers are well-prepared and confident in their roles.
Organize volunteer events and recognition programs to celebrate and motivate our volunteers.
Send out monthly volunteer newsletters and communication updates
Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities and hours, ensuring compliance with all legal and organizational requirements.
Monitor and support the ongoing relationships between volunteers and young people to ensure they are productive and positive.
Conduct regular check-ins with volunteers and young people to gather feedback and make adjustments to matches as needed.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful delivery of all programs.

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, young people, and other stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people facing significant challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva, experience with volunteer management software and recruitment sites (desirable).
