About the Role
The Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Volunteer Manager in the daily operations related to the management and coordination of volunteers. This position is vital for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our volunteer programs, contributing to our mission of serving humanity.
This role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants who are passionate about making a difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and maintenance of volunteer application packs, ensuring all necessary information is included.
- Support the recruitment of volunteers across the organization, identifying and engaging potential candidates.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of volunteer information, adhering to data protection regulations and GDPR guidelines.
- Lead on organizing and managing volunteer involvement in events and activities, ensuring effective briefing and debriefing.
- Network with external institutions, such as schools, colleges, and community organizations, to expand the volunteer pool and foster partnerships.
- Monitor and ensure the health and safety of volunteers during campaigns and activities, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience handling sensitive information, knowledge of confidentiality best practices, GDPR compliance, and safeguarding protocols.
- Experience working in a diverse team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate volunteers or staff, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
- Good time management, reliability, and organizational skills, proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, enhancing collaboration and program success.
