About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Volunteer Development Coordinator to join our team at St Christopher's Hospice. As a key member of our People Directorate, you will play a vital role in supporting and developing our volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Volunteer Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing ongoing support and development to our volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and empowered to make a difference.
  • Facilitating training and development opportunities to enhance volunteer skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with the Volunteering Team to ensure seamless volunteer management, including recruitment, onboarding, and recognition.
  • Developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage volunteers and promote our organization's mission.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good level of general education, including English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in administering or coordinating activities, ideally within a not-for-profit organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • A passion for promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in volunteering.
