Our client is a leading home textiles supplier, supplying UK High Street retailers. They now have an excellent opportunity for a QA Technologist / Manager to join their team in Greater Manchester.
Purpose of the role:
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will develop, implement, audit and manage quality control systems to ensure the continuous production of Pillows and Quilts based on established customer standards, specifications, and production efficiency goals. The Quality Manager will monitor and ensure the quality of goods sold and lead Quality responsibilities within the business. You will also be working with auditors, internal and External stakeholders to improve overall product quality and joining a work environment which is fast paced and committed to providing employees with a challenging and engaging place to work.
Key responsibilities:
Provide technical subject matter expertise across the business including to Sales, Merchandising, Warehousing and Purchasing and our Customers.
Ensure professional, accurate and timely communication with internal and external customers to complete tasks and resolve issues.
Work with key stakeholders in the development and production of the following but not limited to Pillows, Quilts and other Textiles Bedding products.
Manage all product compliance and account management requirements for customers including testing and other compliance certificates gathering, technical file creation, claims substantiation, user trials, product sealing/approval and updating and managing Customer portals
Check and approve documentation including artwork for QA regulatory content.
Schedule audits and following up on NC’S for all Supplier Factory sites (including UK, Macedonia and China). Work with auditors to ensure company standards achieve Customer compliance.
Act as an internal auditor to maintain high Quality standards.
Develop, implement, audit, and lead quality assurance and quality control processes within Comfy Quilts.
Follow the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle to control continual improvement of production quality processes.
Monitor all quality efforts and maintain quality reports; advise management of quality concerns and opportunities to improve quality in the production environment.
Oversee compliance with certification requirements based on standards outlined by multiple certification associations.
Experience Required:
- QA knowledge and experience within Textile industry.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of related professional experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, demonstrate ability to complete all tasks with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-up.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers and auditors.
