Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Computing

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Computing to join our team at QA. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Computing programs, ensuring their academic success and progression up to level 7.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching modules in Computing, both online and in the classroom, using innovative delivery methods and cutting-edge curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, leveraging your expertise to empower their potential.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and developments in Computing, ensuring our programs remain relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience.
  • Contribute to the development of QA's Computing programs, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science/IT or related subject areas.
  • Proven experience in teaching Computing in higher education (levels 4 to 7).
  • Teaching qualification and HEA membership are distinct advantages.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including Python, and experience in teaching general programming.
  • Specialization in areas such as Cloud Computing, Web Development, Mobile Development, Networking, IoT, Cyber Security, Data Science, Big Data, DBMS, Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Engineering, Deep Learning, Information Systems, or Business Analysis.
