Main Purpose of the Job
To promote and sell company products and services by interacting with established customers and new prospects as well as developing new territories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with key accounts and company’s most important customers
- Prepare quotes for stock products and non- stock items and follow up on quotations
- Management of the sales inbox/phone enquiries
- Sell products to existing customers and prospects
- Process sales enquiries in a professional manner and in line with agreed deadlines
- Familiarize customers with new and existing products by securing samples, literature and specifications
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with current clients and their teams by providing information, guidance and support
- Build relationship with suppliers and use database and supplier products list to identify potential suppliers
- Attend customer meetings and exhibitions
- Develop, implement, and maintain sales activities and plans
- Determine the most effective solutions to increase company sales
- Prepare reports by analysing and summarizing information
- Update the database as required
- Assist Customer Services when required
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or similar fields from an accredited institution would be preferred
- Experience of working in a sales environment OR working in a laboratory environment and looking to move into a Sales role is essential
- Knowledge of the Chemical or Pharmaceutical Sectors would be preferred
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under stress
- Driven and motivated
- Experience with a CRM platform would be preferred
This role will be based at our site in Compton and it will be a hybrid position, with a minimum of 3 days working on site, you will need your own transport to be able to get to site.
