Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at Biosynth. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the global Complex Chemical division.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a strong working relationship with the Complex Chemicals commercial and operational teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement a regular finance reporting and analysis cadence, providing in-depth insights into performance drivers and key performance indicators.
- Work closely with the financial accounting and commercial teams to provide month-end reporting packages, highlighting trends, analyzing variances, and supporting gap-closing measures.
- Support the development, training, and understanding of the Sales CRM tool, ensuring its effective use across the division.
- Lead the regular forecasting and budgeting cycle for the Complex Chemical division, providing a clear understanding and trajectory of the division's performance.
- Provide robust challenge to the business during planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with operational teams to lead the capex process, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimization.
- Work closely with the Finance Process Excellence manager and IS team to improve the speed and accuracy of reporting, leveraging the SAP ecosystem.
- Support the wider FP&A team in data download, analysis, and improvement of offline reporting tools, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with the business to assist in the control and optimization of inventory levels and working capital, ensuring efficient cash management.
- Champion finance throughout the organization, delivering high-quality finance provision and building trust with the business.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of key business planning deliverables.
- Drive focus on P&L efficiency and cash conversion rate.
- Provide regular financial reporting (monthly).
- Develop and maintain half-year forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts (monthly).
- University degree in Business and/or Accounting desirable.
- ACCA/CIMA qualified essential.
- Extensive experience working in a FP&A/Group environment is essential.
- Understanding of working in a complex divisional structure and international business required.
- Experience in a PE portfolio company would be desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge in Pharmaceutical/Bio-Tech/Medical Device would be desirable but not essential.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills in a senior management environment.
- Day-to-day experience of SAP.
- Comfortable extracting and working with large data sets.
- Positive attitude, capable, energetic, analytical with a solid understanding of accounting.
- Understanding of group business processes required.
