Job Title: Senior Synthetic Chemist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Synthetic Chemist to join our team at Biosynth. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for executing lab work following provided synthetic routes and contributing to other projects when problems are encountered during synthesis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop chemistry for custom synthesis projects
- Plan and execute synthetic programmes independently
- Work efficiently in the laboratory to meet project deadlines
- Carry out characterisation and data analysis
- Perform all laboratory work in a safe manner and comply with all regulations, adhere to company policies
Candidate Requirements:
- MSc or PhD graduate chemist - with industry experience in large scale manufacturing required
- Proven record in a wide range of synthetic chemistry
- Experience in carbohydrate, nucleoside or related research is an advantage
- Experience in process development for large scale manufacturing – ideally with experience of 20 ltr scale chemistry process
