Job Description

Biosynth is seeking a highly skilled FP&A Manager to join our team in Compton, Berkshire. As a key member of our global finance team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic financial planning and analysis support to our Complex Chemicals division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with commercial and operational teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement a regular finance reporting and analysis cadence to provide timely and accurate insights.
  • Work closely with financial accounting and commercial teams to provide month-end reporting packages, including in-depth analysis of performance drivers and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends, analyzing variances, and supporting gap-closing measures.
  • Support the development, training, and understanding of the Sales CRM tool, as well as its reporting capabilities.
  • Lead the regular forecasting and budget cycle for the Complex Chemicals division, providing a clear understanding and trajectory of the division's performance.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Process Excellence manager and IS team to improve the speed and accuracy of reporting, as well as support the development of the SAP ecosystem.
  • Work closely with the business to assist in the control and optimization of inventory levels and working capital.
  • Champion finance throughout the organization, delivering high-quality finance provision and building trust with the business.
Key Deliverables and Performance Indicators:
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of key business planning deliverables.
  • Financial reporting (monthly).
  • Key performance indicators (in development as part of the global finance KPI initiative).
Requirements:
  • University degree in Business and/or Accounting.
  • ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Bio-Tech/Medical Device industry desirable but not essential.
  • Day-to-day experience of SAP.
  • Comfortable extracting and working with large data sets.
  • Positive attitude, capable, energetic, analytical, with a solid understanding of accounting.
