Divisional Head of Financial Planning and Analysis

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at Biosynth. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the global Complex Chemical division.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a strong working relationship with the Complex Chemicals commercial and operational teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement a regular finance reporting and analysis cadence, providing in-depth insights into performance drivers and key performance indicators.
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends, analyzing variances, and supporting gap-closing measures to drive business growth.
- Support the development, training, and understanding of the Sales CRM tool, ensuring its effective use across the division.
- Lead the regular forecasting and budgeting cycle for the Complex Chemical division, providing a clear understanding and trajectory of the division's performance.
- Provide robust challenge to the business during planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with operational teams to lead the capex process, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimization.
- Work closely with the Finance Process Excellence manager and IS team to improve the speed and accuracy of reporting, leveraging the SAP ecosystem.
- Support the wider FP&A team in data download, analysis, and improvement of offline reporting tools, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with the business to control and optimize inventory levels, working capital, and overall financial performance.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of key business planning deliverables, driving strategic alignment and decision-making.
- Drive focus on P&L efficiency and cash conversion rate, optimizing financial performance.
- Provide regular financial reporting, including monthly updates, half-year forecasts, and budgets.
- Cash flow forecasting and management, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
- University degree in Business and/or Accounting, with a strong foundation in finance and accounting principles.
- ACCA/CIMA qualification, with a proven track record of success in a FP&A or Group environment.
- Extensive experience working in a complex divisional structure, with a deep understanding of international business operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Day-to-day experience with SAP, with a solid understanding of financial systems and processes.
- Comfortable extracting and working with large data sets, with a keen eye for detail and analytical skills.
- Positive attitude, capable, energetic, and analytical, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
