Sourcing Officer

**Main Purpose of the Job**

Ensure effective and timely sourcing/procurement for all sales products that require stock or restock. Work as part of the global Sourcing team to monitor and manage flow of new non-stocks sales orders, using sourcing/procurement processes to ensure timely return to Sales Order Processing Team. Carry out delegated work and liaise with other members of procurement team. Work in accordance with QC/QA processes to ensure products meet required specifications and help resolve any quality problems as they arise.

Answer sourcing requests for sales enquiries and other internal requirements.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Product sourcing and procurement, negotiation with suppliers and to update or maintain SAP with accurate information.
- Send purchase order instructions to Purchase Order Processing team.
- Ensure supplier’s product quality can meet our specifications.
- Pay attention to PDP products to ensure all parameters can be tested by Biosynth-Carbosynth.
- Discuss & resolve amendments to internal specifications with QC/QA.
- Communicate effectively with our sales team to highlight when supply/sale price is no longer viable or similar issues.
- Liaise with Customer Service Team and other internal departments as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience within sourcing or procurement is essential
- Experience with SAP is essential
- High level of accuracy for the database management.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate on all levels.
- Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
