We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join our client's team permanently. The Desktop Support Engineer will be working full-time in the office, and closely with a team of engineers, thriving to provide IT Support. The Desktop Support Engineer must have experience in an IT position for at least 6 months.

Key Responsibilities for the Desktop Support Engineer:

  • Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals
  • Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software
  • Responding to end-user support requests
  • Contacting end users to find out the nature of the problem
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Completing job reports and ordering supplies
  • Potential travel to satellite offices and ability to work after hours when necessary

Skills Required for the Desktop Support Engineer:

  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills and use new types of information
  • Ability to prioritize and perform the required solution
  • Competency in installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and software on PCs and related equipment
  • Excellent punctuality skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems
