Job Duties and Qualifications

INVENTORY PLANNER, Snr

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Under broad direction, leads materials inventory planning requirements for one or more PSLs/ Countries, or NWA's to help provide seamless integration of PML and operations processes.
• Collaborates with PSL and Business Development (BD) staff, manufacturing, external suppliers, and logistics personnel to ensure inventory levels are optimized to meet business requirements.
• Ensures that inventory levels are aligned to PSL demand plans, business needs are met and inventory costs minimized.
• Provides guidance and may assign work to less experienced staff.
• Provides inventory planning subject matter expertise to leadership.
• Responsible for planning activities such as recommendations for inventory stocking levels, forecasting and management of surplus inventory.
• Will have direct impact and responsibility to meet financial goals and objectives for the business.
• Job scope can include training and leading teams.
• Requires completion of a two year degree; a four year undergraduate degree in business administration, materials management, industrial distribution, engineering or similar discipline preferred.
• Strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems required.
