Job Summary

The Senior Risk and Assumptions Manager supports the Programme Head of Risk in the implementation of the risk and assumptions management activities with the focus of supporting the overall programme as well as supporting the project teams in the day-to-day management of risks and assumptions in accordance with the relevant process and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

§ Responsible for the validation of the risk data within assigned programme areas, ensuring that all newly identified risks, are of good quality, and are to include (as a minimum) the description, cause and effect of the threat/opportunity, a three-point estimate for any impacts and a rationale of how these values were determined, a risk owner, an exposure finish date determining when the threat or opportunity will no longer apply to their respective project.

§ Lead the Programme assumptions management process, including capturing assumptions, evaluating and updating assumptions and linking assumptions to risks where required.

§ Ensure the assumptions register is up to date and contains the latest programme assumptions

§ Facilitate the escalation of assumptions to the Senior Leadership Team and produce reports as requested.

§ Responsible for supporting the project team with recording and actively tracking delivery of treatment actions, for both threats and opportunities.

§ Directly supports the Programme with all required monthly or periodic risk reporting.

§ Supports the delivery of the risk management plan and liaises with the Head of Risk on all project risk matters.

§ To ensure that the threats and opportunities within their respective areas are reviewed and updated.

§ Responsible for updating the risk register to ensure the data is current and relevant

§ Reviewing and approving the risk data quality

§ Review Programme and Project risk registers and make comments as appropriate

§ Supports the Head of Risk in the development and production of any required Quantitative Analysis
