As Senior Risk Manager, you will participate in appropriate reporting on Risk matters to local Executive and Board Committees. You will also be a key contact person for various risk management stakeholders across locally supported entities and SCOR Group, including business teams as well as the wider SCOR Risk Management team. In addition, you will lead or participate in Group Risk Management projects and analysis spanning various topics, in collaboration with other Risk colleagues from international teams. As a senior member of the London P&C Risk team, you may also steer the works of junior team members in "project mode". The title will reflect the level of the role.

Experience:

Several years of hands-on working experience in insurance or related field (ideally within Property & Casulaty commercial lines (re)insurance, particularly the London Market/Lloyd's) with increasing levels of accountability. Knowledge of risk management regulatory principles (including risk analysis, solvency, standards and practices of operational risk management, ORSA, governance).

Personal Competencies and Skills:
  • Well organized and efficient with strong time and project management skills. Success at being a team leader with ability to deliver results for review in a timely manner, being proactive in managing deadlines including management of dependencies on others, with strong sense of accountability and high quality of outputs presented for review.
  • Lead coordination amongst key Risk Management stakeholders for SCOR UK, SCOR Syndicate and SCOR Europe (Underwriting, Pricing, Reinsurance, Claims, Reserving, Finance and Legal & Compliance) to ensure proper risk identification, monitoring and mitigation.
  • Autonomous and accountable on project deliverables.
  • Able to analyze and visualize risk and control data in development of management information.
  • Self-motivated to learn and identify areas for further self-development as well as to actively share knowledge.
  • Ability to apply skills/work in project mode in a variety of ad hoc situations, proactively proposing and balancing a range of pragmatic solutions.
  • Build strong relationships within risk management and other functions, locally and across the Group and the P&C business unit.
  • Able to identify, summarise and explain main issues clearly with strong written and verbal skills, in particular concise and accurate in communicating with stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding and awareness of legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
    Education

    Risk Management qualification or Bachelors degree or higher in Risk Management, Business Administration. Economics, Actuarial Science or related field, preferably within a (re)insurance environment, or equivalent qualifications.
