Adult Learning Tutor

Adult Learning supports people from Barrow to develop their mental and physical health, get closer to employment or improve their job prospects. We are looking for someone who is learner focused and confident delivering classes across a wide range of areas – this could be specific skills like Safeguarding and Health and Safety or courses that enable our learners to improve their physical and mental health.
You must hold a recognised teaching qualification and ideally you will have experience of teaching accredited and non-accredited qualifications. Most importantly you must have the ability to deliver inspiring and engaging lessons to a wide range of people as we work closely with the DWP and vulnerable learners referred by the third sector.
Teaching hours will be varied. Classes take place in daytime and evening hours and we will need you to carry out the majority of your teaching face to face.
