Care Managers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with learning disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized support and assistance to individuals with learning disabilities, fostering their independence and well-being.
  • Provide comprehensive assistance with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment by adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage social interaction among individuals.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (child and adult) is required.
  • Completion of mandatory training in the following areas:
    • Safeguarding Adults and Children
    • Moving and Handling (People and Objects)
    • Infection Prevention and Control
    • GDPR and Data Protection Awareness
    • Health and Safety Awareness
    • First Aid Awareness
    • Equality and Diversity
    • Mental Capacity Act / DoLS
  • Optional training (preferred but not required):
    • Nourish Training
    • Food Hygiene and Safety
    • COSHH
    • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
    • PEG Feeding
    • Immediate Life Support
    • Managing Challenging Behaviour
    • Epilepsy Awareness and Buccal Administration
    • Dysphagia/Safe Swallowing
    • Stoma and Diabetes Experience
    • Mental Health and Dementia Awareness
