The Role: Support Worker
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Carlisle. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the well-being and independence of adults with learning disabilities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Promote the independence and personal growth of individuals we support.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Organize and participate in social and recreational activities to enrich their lives.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the individuals' well-being.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Genuine empathy and a passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, understanding, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not essential.
