We have partnered with a leading global asset manager looking to hire a Senior HY Credit Analyst to join their Credit Research team.
The role will be based in London and our client is looking for candidates with experience covering Global (including US) High Yield names across Industrials and/or TMT, and who are open to having US names as a larger part of their coverage, while also looking at some European/UK names(depending on sector background).
The Credit Research team sits closely with the PMs, which run a range of strategies with different investment objectives across Global HY and Global IG. There is a very close working relationship between the teams, with the Analysts also being accountable for the performance of their trade ideas/positions in the portfolios.
The ideal candidate will have 8-15 years' experience as a buy-side or sell-side Credit Analyst, as well as a demonstrated track record of trade idea generation and a clear research framework.
While the role is focused on High Yield names, there will also likely be some coverage of IG and crossover names. The typical coverage universe spans from B/CCC upwards, which makes this role well-suited for someone who has looked across the spectrum, however less so for someone that is a distressed debt specialist.

Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive credit analysis across diverse sectors and regions, with a primary focus on US issuers across HY & IG Industrials and/or TMT (with the potential to take on additional sector coverage).Work with the Portfolio Managers across different strategies Develop investment views & conduct RV analysis between names for the portfolio managers Monitor market developments & adjust investment positions as needed Communicate investment strategies and market conditions to clients
Requirements:
8-15 years' experience in fundamental credit analysis within a buy-side or sell-side environmentClear framework for conducting credit analysis, RV analysis between namesStrong preference for the sectors mentioned above, however all sector backgrounds will be consideredProficient understanding of fixed income markets & instrumentsProven ability to deliver timely, high-quality analysis under pressure Excellent presentation & communication skills, with fluency in English Proactive in identifying investment opportunities with minimal supervision
