Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Credit Research Analyst to become a vital part of our Global Investment Grade Credit Research team. Our objective is to enhance our research capabilities and strengthen our position to build on our longstanding performance history. As the chosen candidate, you will collaborate with a team of 15 Investment Grade Research Analysts located in various regions, including the US and EMEA. Your role will involve close interaction with Traders and Portfolio Managers who oversee our extensive Global Investment Grade platform, managing assets exceeding $70 billion. The team is experiencing a consistent growth in assets under management, creating an opportunity for a proactive and ambitious analyst to contribute meaningfully to the investment decision-making process.
This position will report directly to the Co-Directors of Research for the Global Investment Grade Credit team and will provide support to Portfolio Managers located in multiple global offices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research on credit fundamentals and assess investment opportunities across diverse sectors.
- Analyze financial statements, evaluate business risks, market conditions, and relative value to formulate actionable corporate bond investment recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and Portfolio Managers to provide buy, sell, and hold recommendations.
- Perform investment strategy analyses across various industrial and financial sectors.
- Create comprehensive industry frameworks and credit assessments for presentations to Portfolio Management.
- Work alongside Research and Portfolio Management teams to evaluate macroeconomic factors and market dynamics that influence investment strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Five to seven years of experience in corporate credit research, preferably with exposure to multiple non-financial industries.
- Formal credit training and/or experience in fixed income markets is preferred.
- Progress toward or completion of CFA designation is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheet applications is required.
- Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with a capacity for quickly acquiring new skills and technologies.
