Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for a Culture and Diversity Coordinator to join our Culture and Diversity Team, working closely with colleagues specialising in and with a passion for social justice, equality, race equity, behavioural change, human rights and social care. This role is fundamental to the delivery of committed projects including the Social Care Workplace Race Equality Standard (SC-WRES) and a Stephen Lawrence Research Centre collaborative storytelling project.

This post is fixed term subject to funding, supporting with our exciting equality, diversity, and inclusion activity for the remainder of the financial year (up to 31st March We are keen to hear from candidates who are available immediately (subject to pre-employment checks).

About the role:

The Culture and Diversity Coordinator will be home based in England.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading on specific elements of the team activity, including coordinating and supporting our lived and professional experience groups, delivery of activity and events, production of written reports drawing on a range of data sources and performance reporting.

You will be required to engage and build effective relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders, including people with lived experience.

It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience and passion in one or more of the following areas: social justice, equality, EDI, race equity, behavioural change, human rights and/or social care.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to build effective working relationships.
  • Has the ability to lead on projects, using autonomy as appropriate to ensure that work is delivered on time.
  • Has the ability to work on their own initiative, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Has solid experience of proceeding and editing reports, meeting papers and presentations.
