The NGSN Press Manager role plays an important part in building the profile of the National Gambling Support Network as a key treatment and support service for anyone experiencing harm from gambling in Great Britain. The post holder will lead on the development and delivery of an annual communications strategy for the NGSN to help increase awareness of the Network and its effectiveness. You will be working with the Communications team and Network providers to:

  • Identify and manage proactive media opportunities to raise the profile of the NGSN
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of media activity to raise awareness of the NGSN and report on progress to internal GambleAware and external NGSN colleagues
  • Ensure delivery of impactful and engaging materials for the NGSN and upskill and support providers to manage and respond to media enquiries accordingly
  • Lead on the development of an effective messaging matrix for the NGSN that reflects the wider NGSN and GambleAware objectives
  • Effectively manage and build strong relationships with the communications leads across the provider network.
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues across the GambleAware Communications and System Commissioning Team

    We're looking for someone with good knowledge and understanding of how the media landscape works with experience of working in a press office. You'll need a track record of successfully leading the development of a media strategy and you'll be an excellent copywriter and have an ability to effectively connect and engage with a range of audiences.
