About the Role:

Based in our School of Education and in the Centre for Education Research on Identities and Inequalities, your priority will be to undertake qualitative and quantitative research as part of the InterCare project. InterCare is a four-year long project, led by the Goethe University, Frankfurt, alongside Hochschule Niederrhein (Germany), the Jagiellonian University (Poland), and ARU. The successful candidate will be working with our international team to investigate the experience of young carers in education , with a view to better understanding how being a carer affects their education and wellbeing.

Applicants will have a doctorate (or near completion) and demonstrable experience of conducting qualitative research on social issues. They will be experienced in using a range of research techniques to collect and analyse data. Interview skills and writing skills are essential. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have good organisational skills.
