London, Greater London, United Kingdom The Ned Full time
Engineering and Facilities Director - City of London

Are you an inspirational engineering leader with a background in high-end, large (and complicated) buildings, a strategic mind, and a desire to make things better?

Engineering is the department that keeps everything working perfectly at The Ned. This isn't always easy, as our building was designed as a bank, and it isn't your traditional hotel. We're responsible for making The Ned an unbeatable experience for our members, guests, customers, and team members and ensuring that attention to detail is second to none. The engineering team provides 24/7, 365 cover to the hotel, so you will be expected to work some weekends and evenings too.

What's the role?

The Ned and Ned's Club expanded in 2022 to include The Ned NoMad in New York and The Ned Doha. Each property is slightly different depending on its location, but the ethos of The Ned remains the same; to create a space for like-minded professionals to meet, work and have a good time. In late 2024, Ned's Club Washington, DC is set to open its first standalone club, exclusive to members.

Although the engineering office is in the basement, you won't spend a lot of your time at your desk, because you'll be out and about, coaching and supporting your fantastic engineering leadership team and working on projects to keep The Ned in top shape for the future. We're five days a week on-site, as we're very relationship-focussed and it's just not the same on a screen.
