In your role as the Director of Software Engineering, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture centered around our people while managing a diverse global team of engineering professionals across various levels and specialties.

This position transcends traditional engineering leadership; it requires a strategic visionary dedicated to future technology innovations and cultivating a collaborative workplace. You will serve as a vital link between our product and engineering teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

Your strategic acumen will influence the evolution of our technology stack and promote the integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance productivity and support the growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee both front-end and back-end development teams and their respective projects.
  • Define all aspects of development, including technology selection, workflow, and coding standards.
  • Formulate strategies for future development initiatives aligned with the company's overarching goals and resources.
  • Champion the adoption and integration of innovative technologies to refine engineering processes and product development.
  • Review and update policies pertinent to internal systems and equipment.
  • Provide technical mentorship and coaching to developers and engineers.
  • Promote the adoption of continuous integration and automation to enhance engineering efficiency, speed to market, and innovation.
  • Ensure software quality meets all standards for security, modifiability, and extensibility.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Director or in a similar senior-level role within an engineering department.
  • Extensive background in cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience in both back-end and front-end development using contemporary programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience as a software architect or design engineer.
  • Expertise in software development and proficiency in various programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of software and application design, including design patterns.
  • Experience in software quality assurance and continuous integration practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities.
