Role Overview

This is a UK based role based at our London Bankside office with the flexibility to be home-bases on a case by case basis.

This role is part of the Employee Health and Wellbeing Centre of Excellence (EHW CoE) function.
It's area of responsibility sits across the EMEA region, supporting sites and offices in multiple countries including the head office situated in the UK.
As the EMEA OH Lead, you will take a leadership role in the governance and development of service delivery and programmes, overseeing service quality to improve standards, drive capability development and ensure compliance.
Overall, your aim is to make sure employee health risks, including occupational health risks are managed proactively, resulting in a healthy, engaged, and productive workforce.

This role is designed to lead and influence; therefore, it requires the ability to build partnerships with senior leaders across a wide variety of sites and oversee and facilitate the development of processes as well as capability of others.
This includes overseeing a dotted line relationship with OH/Wellbeing colleagues and assisting in designing & implementing a robust governance framework

As such it offers considerable exposure and networking opportunity, as well as the chance to create something truly new, contributing to the strategies to help Haleon's ambition to be the industry lead in employee health and wellbeing.
There may also be an element of travel to this role .

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Overseeing the delivery of high-quality Occupational Health services across all Haleon's sites within the region.
This includes the ensuring that occupational health services in all the sites and countries are providing the appropriate occupational health services which include health surveillance, health promotion & on-site clinical services to meet Haleon's standards and local legislative requirements.Be the subject matter expert on biohazards, chemical hazards, and physical hazards, to ensure compliance with local legislation and all relevant company standards and processes.Ensure the governance and oversight of occupational health services, staff and processes, this includes employees in direct line, within the matrix and services delivered through third-party provision.Partner with key Haleon stakeholders regionally and globally to understand business needs and risks (based upon available data) and develop evidence-based plans to proactively optimize health and wellbeing.
This includes supporting implementation, delivery, and development of governance processes.Monitoring progress of strategic health and wellbeing delivery in region, analyse/share relevant data with key regional stakeholders, seek feedback and improve processes and implementation as required.Ensuring that all health and wellbeing risks and opportunities are escalated to all relevant regional and global governance forums.To provide support to relevant country specific business continuity within region as required.
This includes emergency preparedness, business continuity and other country specific issues impacting upon health and wellbeing.Acting as a strong advocate of health and wellbeing across the company.
This includes representing Haleon internally and externally with key stakeholders, benchmarking forums, advisory boards, industry groups and peer organisations to ensure EHW services are impactful.
Influence thought leaders both internally and externally, in support of Haleon's mission and vision.Why You?Required Qualifications and experience:
Medical Degree - Qualified physician with license to practice in the UK.Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM) or Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FFOM).Experience in the operational service delivery of occupational health and wellbeing employee Health and Wellbeing/Occupational health especially in international environments.Experience of varied project management, including leading projects.Preferred Qualifications and experience:
Experience within dynamic, multinational companies with diverse workforces.Excellent communication skills, both written, oral and ability to present ideas and concepts within group settings.Ability to engage, communicate and influence effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Coaching and leadership of diverse teams.Skilled at developing, implementing and measurement of OH governance standards and ensuring there is continuous improvement.Ability to critically evaluate issues, apply a system thinking mindset and problem solve effectively.Well-developed awareness of self, others and how to be flexible as required.Management of third-party providers and external contracts including budgets and data protection issues.
