About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users' needs and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with their goals and aspirations.
  • Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance functional independence, promote well-being, and facilitate recovery.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care.
  • Provide education and support to service users, families, and carers on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress notes.

Clinical Expertise and Practice Development

  • Apply your knowledge of occupational therapy principles and best practices to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of current research and developments in mental health occupational therapy.
  • Participate in audit projects and service development initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided.

Leadership and Management

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Effectively manage your time, prioritize tasks, and ensure the efficient delivery of services.
