We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health team at South West London & St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to recover and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to individuals with mental health needs, including assessments, interventions, and goal setting.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Recovery Support Workers and Employment Specialists, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery, social inclusion, and occupational participation.
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with external partners, including social prescribers and peer support workers, to enhance service user engagement and outcomes.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Evidence of post-registration training relevant to mental health practice.
- Training in the theory and application of the Model of Human Occupation within the first 4 months of appointment.
- Experience of carrying a caseload in a mental health setting.
- Experience of maintaining a written record of continual professional development.
- Experience of writing specialist occupational therapy reports.
- Experience of participating in a service development project.
