About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health team at South West London & St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to individuals with mental health needs, including assessment, planning, and implementation of interventions.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for service users.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and carers to ensure person-centered care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Evidence of post-registration training relevant to mental health practice.
  • Training in the theory and application of the model of human occupation within the first 4 months of appointment.
  • Experience of carrying a caseload in a mental health setting.
  • Experience of maintaining a written record of continual professional development.
  • Experience of writing specialist occupational therapy reports.
  • Experience of participating in a service development project.
