This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Sustainable Investment Team at Quilter Cheviot. We are looking to recruit an individual with passion for the wealth management industry and an interest in sustainable investment. The role will join the Sustainable Investment Team in London, assisting the Fund Managers and the Sustainable Investment Specialist.

Working closely with the Fund Managers, the individual will be tasked with supporting all aspects of managing funds from administration to investment research and analysis. Over time, there is an opportunity to take active part in team investment discussions. The individual should be comfortable with taking control of various tasks, maintaining a keen attention to detail throughout.

We are happy to provide full training for the role, offering access to formal industry qualifications.

As a Sustainable Investment Associate, you will provide support to the Fund Managers, reporting to the Sustainable Investment Specialist. You will work across four funds that the team manages as well as private client and dedicated mandates where required. Over time you will build strong relationships with other teams and departments (including Responsible Investment, Risk & Performance, and the Research Analysts Teams) to support collaboration and the sharing of information.

Your role includes but is not limited to:
  • Taking responsibility for the funds' administration, including weekly reconciliations, cash updates and trade instructions.
  • Taking responsibility for resolving any issues raised by the funds' custodian or the ACD.
  • Taking responsibility for completing requests for proposals (RFPs) and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) as well as any other request for information about the funds by colleagues, private clients, or advisers.
  • Providing support to the Fund Managers by preparing collateral material for the funds, including presentation packs, performance analysis, factsheets and assisting with the production of the annual sustainable investment report.
  • Contributing to regular data analysis and monitoring to ensure the sustainable investment funds always meet their aims and objectives.
  • Supporting the research and analysis of our sustainable investment universe including drafting research notes and investment commentary as required by the fund managers.
  • Helping to identify new investment opportunities that meet the requirements of the sustainable investment framework, including alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Providing management and performance information from research systems as required.
  • Assisting with diary management by organising meetings with analysts and companies

    • You have an interest in markets, companies and sustainability and have a good understanding of the fund management industry.
    • You are numerate, write clearly and have an outstanding attention to detail. You are a resourceful individual with strong people skills.
    • Ideally, you have a Financial Qualification such as the IMC and would like to work towards the CFA Qualification (or equivalent). Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint, are essential.
