We are currently seeking experienced customer service individuals, to join the Ambulance Service in Chelmsford as a Booking Coordinator.

As a booking coordinator, you would be responsible for the planning of transport for future dates, and to ensure all patients who require transport get home as quickly as possible.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Planning of transport for future dates
  • Responsibility for the control of ambulance services resources, including re-arranging schedules when necessary, organising volunteer car service drivers for the current day
  • Liaises between hospital staff, communication centres, transport offices and ambulance crews to ensure patients are converted in an effective and efficient manner
  • Entering transport requests into the computer system

The ideal candidate:

  • Good customer service skills
  • Able to prioritise a workload
  • Great communication
  • Ability to work individually and within a team
