Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our team at Essex County Council. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and support programmes/projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the full range of CPD and support programmes/projects.
  • Coordinate the ESCA CPD programme, including provision of course materials, ensuring adherence to criteria in relation to training attended and non-attendance, and quality of training delivery and provision.
  • Prepare and present reports at relevant meetings to illustrate required take-up training and quarterly returns.
  • Arrange training dates for Course Leaders, ensuring appropriate resources are available, including information and tutor packs, and evaluation forms.
  • Collate Quality Assurance and Training Transfer evaluation and impact information, to produce summary and progress reports which inform identification of need for targeted support.
  • Support the ESCA Workforce Development Leads in Quadrant engagement and to deliver the ESCA library locally.
  • Arrange events to ensure professional delivery of lectures, workshops, and conferences in support of the development of the Social Care workforce.
  • Provide general administration support, including file management, meeting room bookings, diary management, minute various meetings, and maintain shared drives.
  • Provide financial monitoring and budgetary updates of projects and programmes of work, ensuring compliance with ECC policies and procedures, to maintain financial controls. Process payments, vouchers, recharge documents, purchase and marketplace orders, and journal transfers.

Requirements

  • Experience and evidence of working in an administration role in a large, complex organisation.
  • Experience of using MS Office and other IT systems.
