What you'll do

In this key role, you'll ensure that the team external disclosure and reporting requirements are delivered for regulatory outcomes making sure that any ad hoc analysis and reporting requests are completed to a high standard, including supporting internal monthly franchise and legal entity regulatory reporting.

You'll also be leading the production of the required regulatory transformations in compliance with the regulatory rulebooks as well as leading the preparation of reports and submissions required by regulators, investors or internal stakeholders, while developing and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Additionally, you'll be:

  • Using technology to drive improvements and innovation across the team to optimise the production processes, creating additional capacity and supporting the business in reducing the cost base
  • Measuring and monitoring team performance against stakeholder expectations of quality, accuracy and timeliness
  • Using innovative solutions to lead across the team to reduce End User Developed Applications, improving the control framework, and supporting the implementation of strategic reporting platforms
  • Identifying and leading the implementation of initiatives and innovative solutions to streamline reporting and drive efficiencies through others, in line with the bank's and Finance's simplification priority
The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with an MBA, CFA or FRM with post qualification experience in the financial services industry. You'll have experience of risk and regulatory reporting concepts including liquidity risk, counterparty credit and market risk.

We'll also expect you to have:

  • An understanding of the bank's data model, including an awareness of source and regulatory reporting systems
  • The ability to work effectively and supervise colleagues with a range of skillsets in a fast-changing environment with a strong customer focus
  • An understanding of current and future data interrogation tools and reporting solutions
  • Experience of managing and leading a team with multiple responsibilities, influencing at managerial level and maintaining ongoing relationships with senior stakeholders
