Regulatory Engagement - Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) Relationship
The PRA is a UK Financial Services regulatory body, responsible for the prudential regulation and supe rvision of banks, building societies, insurers, and other major investment firms. It sets standards and supervises financial institutions at the level of the individual firm.
The PRA Relationship role within EMEA Regulatory Controllers involves helping manage the Firm's interaction with the PRA Supervision Team, who supervise the GS UK Group entities including GSI and GSIB.
Acting as a primary point of contact with the PRA for engagements, including information requests, exams, thematic reviews, business head meetings and other ad hoc deliverables to ensure these are managed, including collaborating with regulatory engagement teams across Risk and Compliance.
YOUR IMPACT
Key Responsibilities
  • Involves significant coordination and interaction across divisions, including Global Banking Markets, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Legal, and Controllers to disseminate content and provide context for PRA requests.
  • Produce, review and critique meeting materials, including briefing notes for meetings and preparation sessions.
  • Provide opinion and guidance on PRA agenda topics as well as attend and moderate respective meetings, providing readouts of those meetings for senior stakeholders.
  • Partner and continue to create synergies across the function within EMEA, working alongside the GSBE ECB Office team to ensure:
  • Regulatory interactions are appropriately logged within firm systems
  • Regulatory deliverables are recorded, tracked and monitored within firm systems
  • Provide timely and structured reporting of key regulatory engagements and deliverables
  • Work closely with the EMEA RPG (Regulatory Practice Group) in Compliance to ensure consistent approach and transparency across FCA and PRA engagements given overlaps in their regulatory priorities.
  • Help provide regulatory updates to the UK Boards and European Management Committee on a periodic basis. Requirements

    • Strong and proven ability in building collaboration and driving consensus across different stakeholder groups
    • Demonstrate ability to partner across divisions, regions and functional responsibilities
    • Strong team work ethic with a keen attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and to provide practical solutions
    • Strong academic background
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
