The role

What you will be rewarded with?

We will rely on you to:

  • Broker and assist in preparation, marketing and servicing of various Special Risks products including but not limited to:
  • Bank Portfolio Products – MII/MAP/MRI
  • Unique/Distressed Tonnage
  • Floating Industrial Solution/Power Generation Insurances
  • Balance Sheet Protection Products such as Trade Disruption/Liquidated Damages/Charter Cancellation Products
  • Extended War/Marine Political Risk Insurances
  • 1st and 3rd Party Binding Authorities
  • Assisting with the Special Risks Sales Plan and Initiatives
  • Assisting in marketing of the Team within the Network and with Retail Clients, tracking new business and providing reports and updates where required.
  • Represent Special Risks Team at various internal and meetings to discuss processing, operations, new business and meetings with clients, markets and prospects etc.

What you need to have:

  • Good experience in the marine market in a client executive/broking role
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
  • Happy to handle new areas of business and products
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a small team and support other team members

  • Ability to look at clients and consider their exposures and develop new products
  • Experience in Sales/Marketing
  • Knowledge of budgeting process
  • Working towards ACII part/fully qualified (or equivalent) preferred
