Our specialist Complex Needs Refuge offers intensive one-to-one support to single women, both with the domestic abuse they have experienced and other needs such as mental health, drug use and alcohol use.
We are currently seeking a Domestic Violence Abuse (DVA) Support Worker to join our team at our specialist Complex Needs Refuge on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As a DVA Support Worker, you will ensure the proactive delivery of high quality advocacy and support services to women at our specialist Complex Needs Refuge in Greenwich.
Prioritising the safety of families through risk assessments, safety plans and individual support plans, you will support women to reclaim their independence, dignity and choice based on their needs.
You will manage a caseload of up to eight families, ensuring a high standard of housing management is in place at the refuge.
About You
To be considered as a DVA Support Worker, you will need:
- Experience of delivering support to adults from diverse backgrounds and with mixed abilities and complex needs
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults
- Experience of undertaking individual assessments
- An understanding of Safeguarding principles
- An understanding of local and national approaches to tackling domestic abuse, including MARAC, child protection, social and voluntary services approaches/involvement
- Strong crisis management skills
This role is subject to a DBS check and is open to women only (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1).
