There is an onsite team of 37, including 2 supervisors, a Head Chef and a variety of superstar frontline teams delivering exceptional service to both adults and children as inpatients and outpatients. This role is subject to Disclosure Scotland and the cost of this will be met by us
Key Responsibilities:Oversee the daily operations of the hospital's catering services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals to patients, staff, and visitors.Develop and manage menus in collaboration with dietitians and medical staff to meet the dietary requirements and preferences of patients.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.Lead, manage, and motivate the catering team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing.Conduct regular training sessions for staff to maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and customer service.Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and manage the catering budget effectively.Handle customer feedback promptly and professionally, continuously seeking ways to improve service delivery.Ensure all catering operations adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.Requirements:Proven experience in a managerial role within a catering environment, preferably in healthcare or a similar setting.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Thorough understanding of dietary needs, nutrition, and menu planning.Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Financial acumen and budget management experience.Passion for delivering exceptional food service and customer care.In return, you'll have the opportunity to progress your career with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.
