About the department

The Investment Vector Governance team, within the Investment Vector COO division, have responsibility for establishing and maintaining the policy governance and committee framework for the Investment Vector. This framework is critical in ensuring and evidencing that the activities being performed within the business are controlled and governed within expected standards.

About the role

As the Policy and Committee Governance Administrator you will get the opportunity to act as an Associate supporting the Head of Investment Vector Policy and Committee Governance to ensure that the framework meets all relevant regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

Within this role you will need strong a strong attention to detail and will get the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across abrdn. You will get to ensure high quality administration of committees to facilitate their operation in an efficient, effective and robust manner, and ensure they meet all relevant regulatory requirements and internal governance standards

Key responsibilities

Update terms of reference, prepare agendas, draft papers, prepare committee packs, coordinate committee meetings and draft committee minutes Support the Head of Investment Vector Policy and Committee Governance with the management of the policy framework; as required. Support and help facilitate the effective communication of the framework across all global operations within the Investment Vector Collaborate with stakeholders from across the team, division and vector to ensure that the governance framework is operating efficiently and effectively About the candidate requirements Experience in an administrative support environment; ideally with either a legal or company secretarial background but not essential as training will be provided. Experience of attending Board Meetings, providing hands on support incl: preparing agendas, preparing board/committee packs, coordinating board and/or board committee meetings, drafting board and/or board committee minutes Evidence of a proactive and strategic working style, able to anticipate and manage issues effectively Experience of managing a varied and demanding workload across functional projects Effective communicator (written and oral) and attention to detail.
