About the Role

You will work with a multidisciplinary team in GU cancer clinical trials across multiple sites in London and contribute to the overall scientific endeavour of the Centre, taking responsibility for areas of the current projects, as demand requires. You will also work as part of the Institute's research team, being mutually supportive and covering duties as necessary.

About You

You will have relevant experience in GU oncology and in adult medicine. You will also have relevant lab or clinical trial experience and experience of scientific data handling.

Knowledge of oncology practice, excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills are also essential.

About the Institute

The Barts Cancer Institute is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations. BCI is internationally renowned in many areas of cancer research and it combines ground-breaking basic research with the expertise of clinicians and clinician scientists from the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine and the Barts NHS Trust to achieve improvements in cancer patient care. BCI is also committed in supporting and developing future cancer researchers through its extensive postgraduate training. It is one of six institutes within The School of Medicine and Dentistry.

The Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine is comprised of a Clinical Trials Team which oversees the set up and coordination of all early phase investigator-led clinical trials sponsored by Barts Health NHS Trust or QMUL and the Cancer Research Delivery Group (CRDG) which is responsible for recruiting patients into all trials hosted, regardless of phase, by Barts Health, coordinating trials from a site perspective and collecting data. The post is span across both the Clinical Trials Team and CRDG.
