Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery... the stuff dreams are made of.

Who We Are...

When we say, "the stuff dreams are made of," we're not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD's vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers creating what's next...

From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

Your New Role...

We're on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated and content-obsessed Social & Digital Executive to join the Social & Digital team as we bring viewers the very best in real life entertainment through our brands and D2C products.

The Social & Digital Executive will report into the Social & Digital Manager and will work as part of a team looking after a range of channels, such as discovery+ (our streaming brand) and TLC.

Working closely with the wider marketing team, D2C product team, and our third-party agencies to ensure that we have fully integrated campaigns to showcase our amazing franchises like 90 Day Fiancé, Vinnie Jones In The Country, Gold Rush, Ghost Adventures, Say Yes To The Dress, Gold Rush, Wheeler Dealers, Man vs Food, Tom Kerridge's Sunday Lunch, Fixer to Fabulous, and Paradise Homes with Alan Cumming across our owned and operated digital and social platforms.

As a Social & Digital Executive, you will help manage multiple social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok); daily tasks to include drafting content calendars, sourcing and uploading social content, community management, copywriting, and creating weekly and monthly insight reports for wider team.

Your Role Accountabilities...
  • Help to create content calendars in-line with marketing and revenue priorities, curating and uploading social content that acts as an extension of our marketing campaigns and funnels users to the discovery+ product as well as earning revenue via in-feed advertising, all whilst ensuring brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology.
  • Identify compelling evergreen content for use on our own social feeds; mine our content archives to resurface older shows to post on new platforms, to new audiences.
  • Own a live relationship with our audiences and deepen their engagement through content, conversation, and community management. Build advocates in communities & existing interest groups e.g. Reality, Paranormal, Motoring, True Crime and Sport. To maximise brand reach.
  • Brief the in-house content creation team and agencies to create 'sticky' short-form videos that will generate views and revenue, market priority shows, and funnel viewers to our D2C products or promote a linear TX.
  • Work with central teams to secure short-form content that can then be localised for UK social feeds.
  • Work with the wider social, marketing and publicity teams on marketing priorities to implement cohesive 360° campaigns.
  • Work with talent to harness their communities and drive awareness of their shows and where to watch online
  • Attend photoshoots for big ticket marketing campaigns and assist with capturing digital content.
  • Assist Manager and Ad Sales team with the execution of digital-only sponsorship deals; brainstorming and developing briefs and implementing campaigns, whilst overseeing editorial and brand TOV.
  • Assist Manager with the execution of any influencer campaigns.
  • Report on performance insights and recommend tactics to increase content visibility, traffic, customer acquisition and retention.
  • Keep up to date with emerging content trends, platform tools etc. to ensure strategy is evolving in line with the industry.
Qualifications & Experience...
  • Experience ideally in the broadcasting or entertainment industry - good opportunity for a community manager or junior looking for that next step.
  • Solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms.
  • Community management experience, working across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Strong copywriting and creative writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience briefing in campaign elements to creative teams, liaising with designers and video editors to deliver campaign assets.
  • Ability to identify "sticky" short-form video content and adapt/edit for different social and digital platforms e.g. Instagram vs TikTok vs Twitter.
  • Ideas, able to think on their feet & come up with innovative, cross-platform ideas that will get noticed and grow acquisitions.
  • Confidence to propose new and different solutions to existing practices.
  • Experience using social media management tools and analytic software for scheduling, monitoring conversations and measuring campaign success.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services; to tight deadlines.
  • Creative software experience a bonus (Photoshop, After Effects etc.)
  • A love of entertainment and factual content is essential
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
