Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading and growing charity based in Stroud, Gloucestershire to recruit a hands-on and dynamic Management Accountant on a full-time or part-time basis. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller within a close-knit finance team, this is a newly created position offering future development opportunities if wanted. The role will offer flexible working hours and a mixture of remote/office hybrid working, duties will include management accounts preparation, assistance with budgeting/forecasting processes and supporting the supervision of the transactional finance team. Your new role

Your key duties will involve the preparation of quarterly management accounts, accruals/prepayments, journal processing, maintenance of the fixed asset register, reporting on grants, and ad-hoc financial analysis for the Financial Controller. You will manage the nominal ledger and control accounts, support and assist with the supervision of the transactional team with oversight of sales/purchase ledger and transactional processes. You will assist the Financial Controller with preparation of budgets, forecasting and cash-flow forecasting. You will provide ad-hoc reporting for financial management, exacting data from the financial system, variance analysis and support the preparation for year-end. The role will be tailored around the right candidate, with future development/progression on offer if wanted.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this permanent Management Accountant role, you will need experience within a similar position, strong communication skills to build internal/external relationships, key MS excel skills and be comfortable using a range of financial systems. A proactive and hands-on working approach, a quick learner who is flexible to organisational needs. You will be qualified by experience or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA. You will have strong attention to detail and be able to manipulate data to provide useful financial information. Experience within the charity sector and supervisory skills will be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This hands-on Management Accountant role offers a salary between 35, ,000 per annum or pro rata, dependable on experience. Full-time hours are 35 per week, with a split of remote/office hybrid working, flexible start/finish times, study package on offer if applicable, contributed pension scheme, development/progression and further organisational benefits.
