The team you'll part of

Throughout your Apprenticeship, you will get the knowledge to become a Project Manager and be part of a team of professionals who have been delivering projects and deployment rollouts, for many years. The program is designed to bring you up to speed as customer facing project manager/rollout manager learning in a safe environment with strong support from your line manager, assigned mentor and the project programme manager. In addition, the academic learning will enhance your skills and this will be strengthened by applying them in a live project environment. The UK Network Infrastructure delivery organization is a high-performance team delivering customer projects to all the UK's main telecom providers. Projects and programmes can run for multiple years or last a few days.

You will learn and contribute under the guidance of the Customer Program Manager and/or Rollout Manager to:

  • Manage the project or the deployment rollout element and propose corrective actions using a standard Project Management Plan
  • Allocate tasks and priorities as needed
  • Work with people from different departments
  • Manage project actions, issues and risks
  • Make sure that project communication is in place
  • Set up project reports and meetings
  • Contribute to project reviews
  • Provide standard project documentation

It is envisaged that in 3 to 5 years, you will be leading projects and/or deployment rollouts and be responsible for delivering these for Nokia's customers. Salary: 23,000.00 Pounds Yearly

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Education: Minimum 5 GCSEs, A levels or a level 3 qualification (apprenticeship or BTEC in a relatable subject), or 48 UCAS points
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Can do attitude

Desirable:

  • Customer focus approach

The role is in the Bristol area as a hybrid worker, working 2-3 days a week from the office. You will earn an Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Level 4, delivered in partnership with our Training Provider, BPP which will cover a wide range of project management skills.

You will also attend physical and virtual workshops as part of the programme to learn and be able to practice using our 'buddy' system the fundamental essentials to becoming a qualified project manager within the Telecoms industry.
