Prospectus is delighted to be working with Children with Cancer UK, an inspiring childhood cancer charity whose' s vison is world where every child and young person survives cancer. With 10 young people each day being diagnosed, they work to support families, raising awareness and fund critical research, to improve outcomes for thousands of children and young people across the UK. They are now searching for a temporary Senior Grants Manager to join their team, initially for 2-3 months.

As their Senior Grants Manager, you will report into the CEO and be responsible for leading the organisations grant-making activities. You will co-ordinate both the Research grants and the Welfare grants, including the delivery of calls for Research grant applications, coordinating the administration of the grant portfolio and leading the ongoing review and refresh of the Charity's Research Grants Strategy. You will coordinate the peer review process and ensure strict independence of individual grant awards. Lastly you will monitor the outcomes and impact of the charity's investments by reviewing narrative progress reports, submissions and will work closely with other teams within the charity to communicate the programmes and showcase the charity's investments to our staff and supporters.

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Senior Grant Making professional, within the charity or connected sectors. You will have the ability to engage with a wide variety of audiences, build strong relationships and positively influence outcomes. You will also be highly confident on various IT applications, including CRM systems and grant-making databases, with proven experience of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative, as this is a standalone role where you will be the sole grant maker, with no line management responsibilities.

Please note, this is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday. The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, minimum 3 days per week on site (Central London offices) with the option of working from home for the remaining 2 days.
