Full time: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: (Flexible to work L/D, Nights & Weekends)

Salary: Competitive dependent upon experience

We're looking for a Clinical Site Manager to join our Wellington Team, currently rated "Good" by the CQC.

As Clinical Site Manager, you will be accountable for the provision of clinical management and leadership across the Wellington Hospital over the 24-hour period, taking part in a 7 day per week rota including nights and bank holidays.

You will provide visible clinical leadership and be the first point of contact for all operational and clinical issues that arise within the Hospital. Working autonomously, you will reach critical decisions to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff and achieve efficient flow of patients through the various clinical areas

Duties and Responsibilities

Co-ordinate and oversee the elective admissions for The Wellington Hospital wards, AAU, ITU/HDU and the bed allocation process. Coordinate the transfer of patients to ensure safe placement of urgent and elective transfers. Provide nursing clinical support and supervision to wards and departments when necessary. Focus on out of hours including nights as sole clinical leader for supervision. Maintain an accurate and contemporaneous throughput of patients. Monitoring and resolving actual or potential flow issues; escalating where necessary. Collect and analyse bed management data for POSH (Patient operational Safety Huddle), and twice daily Sitrep report. Undertake the review of staffing vs patient acuity/ service needs to ensure the number of staff on duty and skills required meets the demand of patients Assess clinical areas against agreed establishments and patient acuity and reduce or increase staffing levels cancelling temporary staffing not required Provide professional leadership to all clinical areas and motivate, support and empower staff to perform their roles Act as first point of contact out of hours for all safeguarding issues and act in accordance with HCA policy for ensuring a management plan is in place that reduces immediate risk Maintain an accurate risk register for the site management team with mitigations in place Ensure accurate records are maintained of Safety 24/7 Team activity and escalations At HCA UK we care about what you care about.
