Main duties of the job Orthopaedic Trauma surgery in Cambridge has seen a dramatic change in the last few years, with the development of Cambridge as the Level 1 trauma centre for East Anglia. A session or 2 of lower limb arthroplasty will also be part of the timetable. Friday mornings are devoted to the Orthopaedic Trauma Unit 'Grand round' where all the week's complex cases are discussed, as well as being part of an ongoing trauma teaching programme. The fellow will be expected to play an active role in this teaching, as well as junior teaching sessions. Currently this post is not recognised for training, as approval has not yet been agreed by the JCCST.
