Position Overview
We are seeking applications for the role of Senior Consultant in Critical Care Medicine, specializing in either Anaesthesia or Emergency Medicine. This position is integral to our expanding team at a leading healthcare institution.
The successful candidate will become part of a forward-thinking and dynamic critical care unit, which is dedicated to providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population. Our unit is known for its commitment to excellence, admitting a significant number of patients annually, primarily those suffering from severe trauma and a variety of neurological conditions.
The majority of our admissions are urgent cases, reflecting the complex nature of the services we provide to the community. Our critical care unit collaborates closely with other specialized units to ensure comprehensive care for critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will join a dedicated team of Consultants, providing round-the-clock coverage to the critical care unit. The role will involve collaboration with either the Emergency Medicine or Anaesthesia departments, with tailored job plans for those possessing dual qualifications in intensive care medicine.
The successful applicant will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality care to patients with severe trauma and complex neurological conditions.
Candidates must hold full registration with the relevant medical council and possess a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Intensive Care Medicine along with either Emergency Medicine or Anaesthesia, or be nearing completion of their CCT at the time of the interview.
