Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, and implement specialist nursing care programs to ensure the highest standards of evidence-based care.
- Provide specialist advice and support to colleagues, and liaise with other staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in multidisciplinary working and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with medical colleagues to provide regular patient reviews and facilitate teaching to patients in hip and knee classes.
- Manage the discharge advice line to triage and address patient concerns, and participate in specialty clinics, including the multi-professional virtual fracture clinic.
- Registered nurse with relevant experience in surgery.
- Post-registration qualification in specialty or willingness to complete.
- Teaching or mentoring qualification.
- Continuous professional development and evidence of mentorship/preceptorship roles.
- Understanding of evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and specialist field knowledge.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work as an integral member of a small team.
