Business Development Manager

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a global membership organisation. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy by developing and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.

The successful candidate will be focused on helping us expand our membership base via the acquisition of new partnerships that contribute to the organisation's success.

London based – Hybrid working

Roles & responsibilities:nSupport the business development strategy, including the development and delivery of our proposition for key accountsnLead the relationship management of our key accountsnIdentify potential and deliver future account plans, activities and initiatives which deliver value to these relationshipsnManage internal relationships, as part of a matrix team working to deliver the employer proposition for our key accountsnWorking with team leads, identify opportunities to expand existing relationships, identifying products and solutions to meet the needs of our membershipnSupport the head of business development to manage strategic and sensitive relationships, outside of identified high-profile multinational accountsnDevelop a compelling product and services which meet the needs of our clients, formalise relationships and provide additional incomenRaise and maintain awareness of the importance of the organisationnShare knowledge and insight of our membership to maximise revenue and sponsorship incomenBased on insights, stimulate cross-organisational discussion and future thinking to identify opportunities and risks across our key accountsnGather market intelligence to inform market planning, opportunities and risks within our key account and member market

Skills & experience:nStrong commerciality with demonstrable business development experience and success within the financial services sectornDemonstrable ability to build and manage effective, working relationships with C-level executives and the wider organisationnStrong influencing and negotiation skillsnExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to get to grips with complex technical information and to communicate this effectively to a range of audiencesnThe ability to give excellent presentations, tailored to the relevant audiencenProficient in MS applications: Word/Excel/PowerPointnPrior knowledge of selling into and consulting with large organisations – nice to havenAbility to build on existing networks in the region to support the objectives of this role – nice to havenUnderstanding of the professional qualifications environment – nice to have
